Q&A with Justin

What do you love about art? Why is it important to you?
"For me personally art flows through my veins. I love when you can see the artist's care and passion in a piece, and when art communicates what any other language can't. I also appreciate the goofy, whimsical creations made just for fun. Ultimately, I love art because it's pure expression and creativity in its most unfiltered form.
Art is what makes us human."

What do you love about the arts community in Prince Albert?
"How expressive and welcoming it is; there is no competition. Every artist lifts up one another to create a strong bond within their community.
And it's so unique—there is nothing like it anywhere else.
This is why I love Prince Albert; it fosters caring individuals who look out for one another."
What are your hopes/vision for our community?
"My dream is simple: to teach others that anyone can create art by simply making something. Art doesn’t have to be "GOOD" to be valued; it just needs to be authentically you. I believe Prince Albert would be a better place if more people embraced this idea. When we understand that art is about self-expression rather than perfection, it fosters a more inclusive and supportive community. By encouraging everyone to share their unique perspectives without fear of judgment."
Is there anything you would like to say to emerging artists?
"Create!!! Who cares?!?!?!?"
