ABOUT US
All My Relations Photography was founded in 2018 by Alex Powalinsky and Lisa Halsall. In 2024, we evolved into AMRCC, expanding our mission to include arts-based mental health therapy to support the wellness and resilience of our community members. AMRCC is a collective of two Indigiqueer artists, proudly situated in the heart of downtown Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Treaty 6 Territory and the homeland of the Métis. We are an integrative arts collective dedicated to addressing social issues and fostering community through diverse artistic practices. Our specialties include photography, videography, beadwork, traditional arts, and community-engaged art projects.

Our name, All My Relations, is an English translation of a fundamental concept in the Cree and Metis ways of life: wâhkôhtowin. Wâhkôhtowin reinforces our interconnectedness with all things; It stresses kinship, not just with one's family but also with our communities, the land around us, the cosmos, and all living creatures. Wâhkôhtowin calls for us to consider our responsibilities to our community, the land, and future generations. This is where our passion for community-engaged art comes from. We are extremely passionate about contributing to the narratives of our communities and sharing the beauty of our relations with one another through the arts.
Vision, Inspirations, and Acknowledgement
We express our gratitude to the land of Treaty Six Territory, the traditional territory of the Cree, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota, and homeland of the Metis where our work takes place.

We thank the land and the Saskatchewan Rivers for sustaining life here in this territory and for sharing knowledge, healing, renewal, and inspiration for our work.

Our work helps us nurture and deepen our individual and collective relationships with the land and reminds us of our relational accountability and our responsibilities to walk in a way that promotes balance and harmony within the context of all of our relations.

We are grateful to our many community partners who support and encourage us through mentorship, collaboration, networking, and relationships. Our web of support and inspiration includes:
-

-

We are inspired every day by our community, our Indigenous cultures, the land and cosmos, and our Indigiqueer community members who inspire us to continue to challenge, disrupt, innovate, and create.
Accomplishments and Recognitions
Best Artist - 2022 Prince Albert BOB Awards
We were nominated and voted on by the community of Prince Albert in the "Best of the Best" Awards of 2022, winning title of "Best Artist" in the community.
Lead Artists for Preserving Sacred Landscapes: Blood Memory as Justice Research Project 2023-2024
We had the honour of being lead artists with "Preserving Sacred Landscape: Blood Memory as Justice", a nationwide research project exploring land and body reclamation among youth and elders across Turtle Island, led by Dr. Margaret Kress of the University of New Brunswick. 13 Two Spirit community members participated in reflexive gatherings, learning about land, water, ceremony, and traditional arts from Elder Marjorie Beaucage, the land, and one another to enrich their spiritual and psychological well-being. From these gatherings and the reciprocal exploration of self in relation to the land, they created in a multitude of ways. In the exhibit curated by AMRCC, the participants share their diverse expressions of their individual and collective spiritual landscapes.
